XILINX was established in 1984, with its headquarters in San, California. With 3,500 patents and 60 industry firsts, XILINX has achieved many historic achievements. XILINX is the inventor of FPGA, programmable SoC, and ACAP. XILINX was honored in the US Inventors Hall of Fame in 2009 for inventing the field programmable gate array (FPGA). XILINX started a strategic transformation several years ago, that is, to transform from a FPGA company to a fully programmable (All Programmable) enterprise. With the advantage of All Programmable, XILINX is entering the broad market outside the traditional FPGA and striving to achieve a significant change in revenue scale within a few years. It serves a wide range of industrial Internet of Things application fields, such as medical, smart factories, smart grids, video surveillance, robots, transportation, and so on.
